Can I get my hair thinned at a beauty salon?

and most store bought anti-frizz shampoos don't work on me so what do I ask for and what could they do. Does this cost any extra money. Can I get my hair thinned at a beauty salon?
i have paul mitchel stuff. the regular price was 79. ouch. i got it for 16 at a hair show though. this is amazing stuff.i have really thin hair so it gets frizzy and this really helps. also you can get your hair thined in any hair salon or any place that cuts hair. Can I get my hair thinned at a beauty salon?
you can get it done at beauty salons just make sure they don't use the thinning shears too close to your scalp they should be at least an inch to inch and a half off your scalp any close and your the hair that does get cut will stick straight out. the thinning shears are like regular shears with little notches taken out of them that only cut some of your hair
yes they can thin your hair
Thinning is usually part of the cut but if you have frizzy hair the shorter hairs will very likely stick out more won't they? Thinning doesn't take hair from the root, it cuts it shorter, and if your hair is wilder shorter, keep that in mind.

If you are trying to tame wild hair consider straightening. It is expensive but will last until your hair grows out at lot at the scalp. A lot of people go for 9 months to a year between straightening. Choose someone carefully, ask around a lot and if you are shopping cheap stylists, make sure you see they have done, like any chemical process, it can damage hair if it's done wrong.
Yes you can!

it doesnt cost any extra. the hairdresser has special scissors that thin your hair. just ask for it at your next haircut.
you can thin ur hair.. they just use special scissors, its really cool they once did it to me..cuz i had super frizzy hair
I get my thinned out every now %26amp; then. I just ask %26amp; it doesn't cost me extra. just let them know what you want.

What influences does david beckham have on fashion and the hair and beauty industry?

not to sure if he has much now i know he had more when he played at manu hes not really in the news as much as he was back thenWhat influences does david beckham have on fashion and the hair and beauty industry?
none in the USA. He's too European for American guys to follow the trends he sets. What influences does david beckham have on fashion and the hair and beauty industry?
He has had none on me whatsoever. Thought he was a supposed footballer not a fashion icon. With the money he has he should concentrate on the game.
He does not have any influnence at all. Everyone wants to look and dress like him.
with David Beckham being one of the most famous, if not he most famous footballer known everywhere his influence over fashion, beauty and hair has increased! Little children, mainly boys, that aspire to be him believe that his hair cut and fashion is what made him so great so they follow it. Hence why we see boys of young ages and teenagers wearing the same hair cut that David Backham was spotted with that week before. Beckham changes his hair every five minutes so it becomes sort of a fashion trend to keep up with him.

There is also his influence on fashion as he wears sponsored clothing when playing football and therefore advetises those companies, mainly phone companies. He also wears brand names and that makes those sales sky rocket. Beckham has been asked to do a number of commericals for clothing and the like. His most famous being the Gillette advert for the shaver and gel which boosted sales incredibly after 2 months of it being aired!

His new fragrance, with his wife Victoria, has caused a great riot to buy it in the shops as it is seen as the sought after thing.

He has a massive influence on the beauty and fashion world, mainly becuase of his job and his television appearances.

Hope that helps.
Not so much now he's moved to LA. infact I think Move over David Beckham - here comes Lewis Hamilton
a bit if you old like him

If i want to own a business in HAIR&BEAUTY?

Hey, Im currently in TAFESA at the moment studying Business Management and I'm very curious about hairdressing. Do i have to know how to cut hair if i want to be the owner/manager of the businessIf i want to own a business in HAIR%26amp;BEAUTY?
you don't have to but it helps. If i want to own a business in HAIR%26amp;BEAUTY?
You don't but it can be very complicated owning a business %26amp; not knowing how it works. I have worked in a few salons %26amp; I now own my own %26amp; I find my job as an owner/manager very difficult even knowing how it works. You could do a 1 or 2yr course on hairdressing %26amp; then consider starting. a big problem would be knowing the difference between a good stylist %26amp; a bad stylist when it would come to hiring.

Are the clip in hair extensions from sally beauty supply good?

Im planning on getting clip in extensions and know that they are sold at Sally Beauty Supply. If you ever had them, were they worth the money and did they last long? Are the clip in hair extensions from sally beauty supply good?
Yes, I used them, and they stayed in really well and looked really natural. Are the clip in hair extensions from sally beauty supply good?
they work really good and its up to you how long they last. dont use heat on them......
id been debating about getting them myself because they cost to much for me not to like them

but i just recently bought them %26amp; ive never had extentions before

theyre SO easy to put in and match my hair perfectly

if you want them styled with your hair i reccomend

going to a sylist or if you want to cut them yourself getting a razor to make it more natural looking

but either way put them in first then take them out one by one and number them that way theyre always in the same place
If you're talking about Sally Hansen then those products are really good.
No they suck. Buy some hair cheap like on ebay. Then get some application materials, and a training dvd. I did this and my friend was able to put them in my hair. now we are going to do my neighbor's hair too. check this website out.

What are some good books on beauty, style and hair?

I'm 15 years old, but I don't want any books specifically for teens because I'm not going to be a teenager forever. Something easy to read, with pictures if possible. What are some good books on beauty, style and hair?
Mainly what I do is browse the latest magazines, just

to keep in touch, see if I see anything I like, and

    style ideas.

I've received alot of help and suggestions just from seeing

a celeb or model's hairstyle, skirt, dress, make-up etc.

There IS a good book out on the market... This one is good,

there are others similar but here's One link:

What brand of hair color from Sally Beauty Supply lasts the longest?

I need a blonde hair dye that is true to the color it says it is and doesn't fade quickly.... so which brand from Sally's works the best? What brand of hair color from Sally Beauty Supply lasts the longest?
This is hard to say without seeing your hair but yes blonde colors can fade... the tone of the blonde will... it will stay blonde but whe n you use a permanent color it lifts the hair to the blonde level then deposits a tone.... for example a gold tone or a strawberry tone... now that hair color class is over... a permanant color will last longer but you need to use shampoos that are made for color treated hair... shampoos are the culprit for fading the tone of the hair... at Sallys I use the Compliments Permanent Color Gel by Clairol... it is so close to the professional line that is sold only to hairdressers name being LOGICS.

If you are using a permanent color a lot of times you can try the shampoos that have color in them to gives your color a boast when it has faded... I hope all this helps...What brand of hair color from Sally Beauty Supply lasts the longest?
Unless you're already a blonde, you can't use a box.

You're going to have to bleach it (using a packet of bleach and a bottle of developer--probably at least a volume 30...use volume 40 if you have darker hair).

You might want someone else to do the bleaching, because it's hard to bleach your whole head by yourself.

Then, after bleaching, you're going to have to pick a colour according to what you want it to do:

example: if bleaching turned your hair orangey, you're going to want a COOL tone light blonde colour.

The fact is, you can't ever go by the colour on the box, you have to go by the current colour of your hair, and what you are trying to achieve.

Fading isn't an issue, since you're lightening your hair, it's not going to fade. The roots are going to be a much bigger issue.
    Blonde dosn't fade

when you lighten your hair, it's permanent, it strips natural pigment out of your hair

You can't just buy a blonde ';hair dye'; and expect it to come out just like the box

It all depends on what your natural colour is

some hair will throw gold and some will throw red

    Go to a salon

or streak your hair, either with tips or foils!
I'm a brunette but I really like the Ion colors. I have a true golden brown color that does not easily fade.
I heard that garnier fructis is suppossed to last very long.
pretty much any kind of nuetragena or however u spell it L0L
Wella colour charm.....Ion is terrible for the hair
i agree with other answers. Ion it is.

How much should I expect to pay for the following hair services at a beauty salon?

High-lighting roots, haircut, and blow-drying all together, in Los Angeles, CA?

Is $100 a lot for that? How much should I expect to pay for the following hair services at a beauty salon?
No, $100 is not a lot to pay for that. At our salon you would pay more then that, probly about $130How much should I expect to pay for the following hair services at a beauty salon?
no 100 is definately not a lot...If you know of a salon you could go to the website and check it out...or if you know of any you could get an estimate online.

I'd say about $100-$150 but it really depends where you get it.
    high-lighting roots will be about 40, a cut maybe a 40-50, a blowdry maybe 30, so bout 100-150!
no, for that area that is great!!!

What is the proper percent to tip in California for a beauty service, like hair, nails, facial and waxing?

Is it even necessary to tip for every beauty service? What is the proper percent to tip in California for a beauty service, like hair, nails, facial and waxing?
The standard decent tip for great service is 15%. If you feel like someone is doing even better than that than give them what you feel they deserve. Just remember that you dont have to tip them just because it is usually done. What I mean is if they are not doing a good job than do you really think they deserve a tip at all? I only tip if I get good service. However it takes someone doing a really crappy job not to get at least 10% although I usually give 15%.What is the proper percent to tip in California for a beauty service, like hair, nails, facial and waxing?
    15-20%

    tip on the total.

    $100=$15-20
Yeah, usually for manicure it depends how good they did it, if they have you a free massage, if you also got a pedicure, or if they made designs on your nails. I usually give a 3-5 dollar tip. Not too much, then it just makes everything more expensive!!

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a> CLickkkkkk
I believe in tipping 20% for good service.
i thought tipping was always 10 percent at lowest
It's 15%, but I always tip 20% so the next time you go the service will always be better because the beautician is happeir.
    just give coins like korters
15% is the absolute lowest you should ever tip for any type of service such as beauty and or dining. if you get extra good service 20% is a great tip. if you get exceptional service 25% is going to make the person who performs the service remember you always, which in turn could lead to exceptional service every time and in some cases you may receive special discounts and other perks for being a preferred customer and a damn good tipper. :)

  • How much does it cost to get your hair highlighted at a beauty school?

I'm getting a cut %26amp; style at a regular salon %26amp; can't afford to get highlights, so I was thinking of getting the highlights done at the beauty school by my house. Anyone know how much it will cost at the school? Can I trust the students to do a good job?How much does it cost to get your hair highlighted at a beauty school?
Each school sets their own prices and they are generally slashed considerably compared to a regular salon. Obviously the students are still learning and may or may not make a mistake. Of course this can happen even at a professional salon too. However, if you are worried about a mess up, request a senior student or someone who excels at coloring/highlighting.How much does it cost to get your hair highlighted at a beauty school?
be very very careful....remember at a beauty school..they are learning on you!..mistakes can happen...

it might be better to save your money for one really good salon...after all it's you hair..you want to take care of it.
    ONLY $20.00 where I live.

You get great results too! No mistakes because another more expirianced stylist is watching the students every move!
Good Question in college I did this to save money ask questions who's the best student doing color and high lights make an appointment with that student, usually the cost is for the chemicals used which is very reasonable but ask ????'s
Yes you can trust the students. We have to go through a lot of training to even touch a persons head and there will be teachers there the whole time. As far as cost, it depends on the school but you should look for one that has packages. At my school you can pay 75 dollars and get a facial, mani, pedi, cut, color (including highlights) and style. For all that at a regular salon you could pay a lot! Or go with a friend and that will make you feel much more comfortable and the girls will be grateful for the experience!

How much does it cost to get my hair colored at a beauty school?

I've made a mess of my hair... I used to bleach it, and now it's a dull brown color but the roots have stayed pretty red because the color stuck to my dark roots completely differently. Anyway, I need to fix this, and I actually want to go blonde again... I don't need my hair to be perfect (I'm used to doing it myself) and I'm wondering about how much it would cost to have my hair taken back to blonde and cut at a local beauty school? How much does it cost to get my hair colored at a beauty school?
I highly recommend going to beauty schools for cheap hair-care!

I had one of the best haircuts and colors at one because they always check in with their instructor before they do something their unsure of. people at salons have to much pride to ask for help.

anyway, i got mine dyed brown with hot pink streaks underneath with a cut and style and i was only charged $35. I gave a good tip too!

Good luck! I recommend getting your hair colors one color and letting it grow out to be healthy before doing any more things to it in the near future. How much does it cost to get my hair colored at a beauty school?
Not sure about beauty school, but I would suggest doing this yourself.

Those girls (and boys) apparently don't always learn and you don't want someone ';practicing'; on your head. I went to a salon to get my roots bleached by a ';professional colorist'; and ended up with orange/yellow that took two breach treatments and 3 separate toners to fix... and it still didn't look completely right.

Go to a beauty supply store, get the proper supplies, and do this yourself. This can be done easily and for a very small price.

You can get really good instructions and advice about how to do this here: http://talk.hairboutique.com/forum_posts鈥?/a>
The prices are different at all School, But at my moms school(It should be around this, at any school.) Bleach is $25.00, and a cut/Shampoo is $4.50...and Color is $15.00 and up.

Don't listen to ANYONE who says not to go to a Beauty School. They are ALL trained before they go onto the floor, and are watched closely by Trained Cosmetologist/instructors.
In total that would cost you not less then 38000 dollars. But you can cut down your expenses by getting some discount coupons that would help you get the things done in less amount

Just have a look on this website that offer the coupons for free

    http://www.clickmycoupon.com/

    Dont doubt beauty schools.

thats where i always go to get my hair done and they do a great job.

it would probably cost around $50 - $60 (not on sale) but they should do a really good job.

    hope you can do it:D
Probably $40.00 but ask for an instructor!
umm if its just 1 color and ur hair is short i tink they wud start with 20-25 n then up

Tashina is the only one correct- Greatman Report Abuse

Castor oil is fine to put in your hair. It's a natural humectant (meaning it absorbs moisture/water from the air) so putting it in your hair is fine. It's also great on your skin. People often drink castor oil as a natural laxative (for uhmm......';severe'; situations), but it can also induce labor.

Is it prohibited from a dog being in a beauty shop/hair salon?

I am told that a beauty shop can be fined if a dog is brought into the establishment while I am having my hair done?Is it prohibited from a dog being in a beauty shop/hair salon?
If it is a private establishment and you personally know the owner, that owner might allow you to bring your dog. If it is a working dog (not just seeing eye), then it IS allowed. But a public establishment could be sued by anyone who does not want to have a dog in there for reasons such as allergies, dislike, or pure fear of dogs. Even if they weren't sued, they could lose a lot of regular customers. Definitely leave your dog at home, or where you can see it in the car with the windows cracked on COOL days (If you are not going to take hours, that is).Is it prohibited from a dog being in a beauty shop/hair salon?
I saw an episode of ';Breed All About It'; on Animal planet. There was a guy with bull terriers (target dogs) and he had them in his hair salon in either NY or LA. I don't think it's a health code violation, as there is normally no food or drink in a hair salon, but the owners of a business are allowed to do pretty much whatever they want regarding any dogs that aren't service dogs. The owners pay the lease, and usually have agreements with the landlords regarding things like that.

However, if it's some random dog that's not serving a disabled person being brought into a place of business unannounced, that person can be sued as long as there's a posted ';no pets'; policy on the door of the business.
    Yes it is not allowed.
Most local health code laws ONLY apply to establishments that sell or serve food. Any business owner may refuse to admits pets - that is their own decision. However, NO ONE in the U.S. can refuse admittance to any handicapped person with a ';Service Animal'; - which can include assistance dogs, monkeys trained to help paraplegics and even a pony that was trained as a guide for the blind.
That probably depends on where you live. If it is a service dog then you should be allowed to bring it in. If is is not then some city, county, or state laws may prohibit it. Also may be a matter of the business' insurance liability coverage. Not to mention the business itself may have a no pets policy. Considering how many people are allergic (unless this is a service dog), I feel it is rude and inconsiderate of people to bring their pets inside public places. No I am not allergic myself. I just think it is not appropriate.
Yes.Unless it is a seeing eye dog.Why...one it is a health hazard, people with sevre allegies can be harmed, and it is just plain rude to assume people want dog hair all over them.Leave the dog home
here in Australia it is prohibited unless see and eye dogs

but when I was in Paris and Italy

I saw people with dogs on leads so I guess

it's what country you are from

but most countries it is against health laws to have a dog in a shop

How much money do you spend on your beauty routine ie. hair, waxing, nails?

I am trying to cut down on my beauty expenses but don't know how I can. I spend $80 for a color and cut and $130 for a color cut and highlite (I get highlites only every other time and color everytime). Plus, waxing my eyebrows is $30 - I try to go every few months and keep them maintained in between, but I'd really like to go every 40 weeks. She does an amazing job and I can't give this up! I sometimes get my nails down, so maybe $30 a month for that. Plus my makeup and face products.... Ugh... Any suggestions on how to still look good but be more cost effective? I try to do my nails myself most of the time. The hair cuts a big chunk. How much money do you spend on your beauty routine ie. hair, waxing, nails?
$0. I pluck my own eyebrows, my friend's mom is a hair stylist and cuts my own hair, and I don't do my nails. How much money do you spend on your beauty routine ie. hair, waxing, nails?
It does seem like a lot of money, but most girls spend that much.

I think that if you are getting acrylic nails, you could cut that out, because natural nails look a lot nicer.

Also, maybe gradually grow out your natural hair colour, and when it's natural, just colour it with semis.
Well... I work at a salon and get free haircuts, and on top of that I primarily cut my own hair. So that's free. And I do my own french manicure. And I'm good at it. So that is free. And usually, I don't need to waz my eyebrows or elsewhere, I pluck my eyebrows and wear boardshorts, so see? That is how you can cut down. Hope that helped.

  • Can anybody recommend a really good hair and beauty salon in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, UK?

I'm sorry but I have to answer that ignorant b****** of an idiot Dustin. I've just viewed a majority of his arrogant answers putting the U.K down, stating its a 'poor country' and it's embarrasing! The idiot hasn't even been to the U.K and he's a stating a tyrade of rubbish on here! The U.K is the 4th richest country in the world - unfortunately experiencing a credit crunch at present, but it is a beautiful country with lovely landmarks. Maybe Dustin should keep his stupid ideas to himself if he hasn't even experienced it first hand. What an uneducated jerk, how embarassing for him.

bjWhat are the news to hydrate the hair in the beauty salons?
Well my hair is brown, long, and curly. It's healthy - not dry. But my curls do frizz up a bit. I think something like a revitalizing serum would help your hair. I used to use Biolage and there is a certain one meant to moisturize/hydrate hair. I'm pretty sure it's called hydrate. I used that and it totally kept my hair healthy and silky smooth. If you are curious why I don't use it anymore, it's because Pantene is more affordable for me.

But Biolage is the best shampoo/conditioner I have ever used.
the organic root stimulator products are great for dry hair, I would recommend you to leave the conditioner for a few minutes to let it work.

also, it's very important that you have a good diet, if you eat healthy your hair will look healthy.

You can get a part time job/work expeience in a hair salon which is a good start or just wait until you finish your GCSE's then you can go to college and do an NVQ in whichever one you choose.

A saloon is another name for a bar. I think you mean salon.
You can also get great deals on ebay! I often buy really good hair extensions on there and they have good beauty products.

    lot = wholesale basically.
You can find a number of manufacturers selling hair extensions wholesale here: http://www.import-export-guide.com

    Here's one for example: http://www.import-export-guide.com/member/ylicelia

You could also try posting a Buy lead there for some of the other products you need.

This is an international b2b marketplace so you'll need to find out more about import-export. The site has an information section which will be a good place to start.

How to get pink colour lighter skin and beauty short hair style?

tell me some tips to get lighter skin all over body and beauty hairHow to get pink colour lighter skin and beauty short hair style?
The first thing to do is to ensure use of a good quality cream or lotion with SPF 30+ before you leave home during the day, and reapply as often as recommended if you stay out in the sun for long. I personally use SPF50+.

Checked out www.skinwhiteningexperts.com; they seem to be based out of Philippines - so am a trifle doubtful of the authenticity of their claim. However, that is not to say it won't work, it might very well be the best product under the sun!

Found another site that seems to have what they term natural and safe skin care products and has offices in USA and UK. Check it out at http://www.gudhealthnow.com They seem to have some promotions running now where you get 2 free if you purchase 4. They also guarantee a refund if you send unopened bottles - so may not be a bad idea to check it out...

Hope this helps...How to get pink colour lighter skin and beauty short hair style?
The girl who said go out in the sun and wear a spf 30+ sunscreen - well thats not a good idea, because even with sunscreen you can't stop getting tanned.

If you want to be in the sun then yes wear a spf 30+ or higher sunscreen and wear protective clothing.

Lemon juice apperantely works to get lighter skin,,

but being happy in your own skin is way more attractive than trying to get a different skin color ;)

That message goes towards people who want to be tanned too.
I'd probably suggest if you want lighter skin to use bleaching products they sell at discount stores and they sell them online too but they're is a risk you could get bleach streaks. Safest I think would be bleaching soaps. I don't know about so much because I don't use bleaching products but I know they're out there.

for hair, oil treatments are really good. I bought this oil one time that was great it was Tea tree oil and carrot oil combined it. Heated it up put it on my hair rubbed it in let it sit for about 20 minutes then washed it out and it was nice and silky. I think the bran was Afrikan Organics. It worked good

And blowing out my hair just never works for me unless I go to a salon. It just comes out poofy for some reason. So I recommend a Flat iron for straightening and a curling iron for making curls.

I have curly hair but the curls a curling iron make are nice and look really polished off.

And if you want to see people give hair tips to specific things or makeup tips but visually - check out youtube - type in hair tips or skin lightening they probably have thousands of videos. I know they have a lot of makeup and hair tips for sure
if you want light skin, go out in the sun wearing a good spf. as far a body, shower twice a day and exfoliate with a moisturzing cream, or acne wash if you break out. i use witch hazel skin toner on my face and body, spray it after you shower then put lotion. dont use a lot of heat on your hair. try not to use any at all for like a month and your hair will improve a lot! use the cool setting on your hair dryer and a very low setting on your syling tools. if it burns your hand, it burns your hair!!!

    or dollar stores

or ask for it for your birthday

or your local retail or bargain shops

or even boring from your friends.

    ask your aunt!

luck to you and pick me!!!How do I save money buying makeup and beauty products? Hair dye, makeup etc.?
Well it depends, your aunt may have a good job that brings in good income. Or she may have a budget on othet things just so that she can buy hair and make-up products.

I don't recommend buying make-up off other sites as they're cheaper, because most of them are fake. Just limit yourself to what else you can buy, don't go out for dinner as often, or save some money on fuel for your car by walking or public transport for a week.

    These are just simple ideas.

    Good Luck!
You can set up a monthly budget for yourself and buy within the budget. The most important thing is to buy quality not quantity. You don't want lots of fake and cheap makeups.

Makeups will last a long time so when you buy a few nice items each month and after a few months, you will accumulate lots nice products.

    4. Turn right onto Navigation Street

    5. Turn left onto Hill Street

    8. Arrive at your destination.

Sounds a long way but Multimap says it takes approx 8 mins to walk. How do u get from New street station Birmingham England to Juliets hair and beauty...On Foot, Postcode B54EG??
It's probably easier to come out of the main exit of new street.

Walk through the guards, and up the escalators. Turn left and follow the path around, past Vision Express, HMV and Woolworths. Walk down the slope onto the main road, then turn left and walk back on yourself, with Waterstones on your right. Follow the road around (this is Navigation Street). At the road junction, turn left and follow that road (Hill Street). You'll now be around the back of the train station. The third road on your left is Hinkley street. Turn down that, and then turn right onto Theatre approach.

Your hairdressers should be there, if that postcode is right
It literally just around the corner, i typed the postcode into google and got this:

I wouldn't recommend Sallys for human hair. The slection is limited. 16'-18' cost usually around $30 and up, depending on the quality, style and length.
they hunt young girls and shave their hair from all the body and beat them!!!

    but nobody knows it!!!

because at da they give sweets to poor kittens!

but i don'[t eat it because i feel that behind these sweets are bleeding sad girls
none of their hair is real human hair..its all synthetic
I saw some for $74.99 there
I was at Sally Beauty Supply the other day picking up some synthetic extensions but I didn't really look at the human hair. The only human hair I did look at was the kind that was $110. I think they cost anywhere from $30-$110. Synthetic is $2.99.

What are your secrets (hair, make-up, beauty, fashion) for really turning heads?

I need to rejuvenate myself and my style and get noticed by my crush. What works for you ladies out there? I want my man to drool! :) Thx...What are your secrets (hair, make-up, beauty, fashion) for really turning heads?
wear your hair down, if it's straight, curl it a bit.

wash your face, brush your teeth.

wear the outfit that makes you feel most pretty, and confident.

wear something that shows some skin, but not too much.

wear something you get complimented most on, it gives you confidence.

if you don't, wear some make up. but keep it simple.

wear just mascara, a little eyeliner on the top, and some lipgloss. What are your secrets (hair, make-up, beauty, fashion) for really turning heads?
Guys usually notice most when I look really natural and comfy. Today I was wearing my long hair down, a tight t-shirt, a pair of sweats, and really natural make up. Add confidence to that and guys were really handing out the compliments today.

(I'm in highschool, so guys aren't really shy about telling you when you look good)
i don't really have any secrets..

    haha,

i just wear what i like,

one of my beauty secrets iss: i dont brush my hair. or blow dry it

all i do is let it air dry and it looks waaay better that way then when i brush or blow dry it;it gets puffy=\
first of all BE YOURSELF.......if u rely wanna get specific.......if u want ';ATTENTION'; thn just do sumthyn others dunt........as simple as tht.........!!

  • Ladies, How do you keep your hair products an beauty stuff organized?

What kind of container do you put them in so they are easy to reach, but not all over your dresser/vanity? I have a lot of different stuff that I use and it just doesn't look good when company comes over but i don't want to pack them away because i use themLadies, How do you keep your hair products an beauty stuff organized?
I find it very helpful to divide all my beauty products into categories such as cosmetics that I use every day and those that I only use occasionally, hair products used daily and those seldom used, and a special collection of samples and travel sizes. The things that you use every day can be attractively displayed on a pretty bamboo tray, basket, or the like. Things that don't stand up (like mascara, brushes, eyeliners, etc.) can be grouped in a bathroom glass or pretty coffee mug. The other items that only get occasional use can be grouped by category in vanity drawers or medicine cabinet. For instance, I have one drawer in which I store everything I need for coloring my hair - tubes of color, developer, gloves, application bottle, etc. Make sure that the baskets, trays, and cups you use coordinate with each other and your decor. Not only will things look nice but you will know where everything is.Ladies, How do you keep your hair products an beauty stuff organized?
I bought a set of 3 decorated storage boxes of different sizes and stand them on the floor at the side of my dressing table, the largest at the bottom. In the top one I've put my make-up,the next one my hair products and the bottom one holds my creams and other larger toiletries.I just put them on my dresser to use them then put the boxes back when I've finished. They look really nice and I know where everything is.
well i use little rubbermaid drawer organizers (i have a lot of bare escentuals make up) like this one

if i need the counter space the unit is easy to move and just as easy to pull back out here's another idea you could get these and put your make up and such in them and tehn they are cute enough to leave out and no one knows whats in them!

Ladies, How do you keep your hair products an beauty stuff organized?

They look really nice and I know where everything is.
well i use little rubbermaid drawer organizers (i have a lot of bare escentuals make up) like this one

if i need the counter space the unit is easy to move and just as easy to pull back out here's another idea you could get these and put your make up and such in them and tehn they are cute enough to leave out and no one knows whats in them!

well, i went to sallys cause i got extensions a few weeks ago.

i dont know what size i got, but im almost possisbe that most human hair is $29.99

the glue was like, $3.99- not expensive.

it was a full head for me, but i was going for length more than thickness.

i hope this works for you .

    be careful though.....can be itchy!!!!

:DHow much do Sally's Beauty Supply hair extensions cost?
Too much....If you want to get good hair for a reasonable price go to black beauty supply place and they will match up your hair colour and the length you want.

How expensive is a pack of hair at Sallys beauty supply?

I was talking to my friend and she said they were really inexpensive, like $10 a bag, but then i look on the website and it's much more than that. Are the prices online different from the prices in the store? Someone help me out here! How expensive is a pack of hair at Sallys beauty supply?
for the 100% human hair 14 inches with clips it is usaly 70-90 depending on the sales

for human hair without clips(glue in, or you sew your own clips) for 18inch they are 30 dollars *but these ones are a lot less of quality and get tangled so eaisly) and a lot thinner

i recremend you invest in good ones like the 14 inch clip in

they also have good quiality longer clip ins but of couirse they are more expensive. im guesing around 150 for 22 inch ones..

What is the difference between dying your hair at a beauty salon or dying your hair yourself at home?

Are the dyes available at stores more damaging to the hair than dying at a salon? What is the difference specifically? Which is healthier for the hair? I don't want to cause any more damage to my hair.

Real answers from experienced professionals please.

Thank you! What is the difference between dying your hair at a beauty salon or dying your hair yourself at home?
I dye my hair at home every 1.5 months, usually using the cheapest or close to cheapest brand available. My hair is undamaged and I have never gotten poor or unwanted results. I have friends that have gotten dye jobs in salons, and although I would recommend salon highlighting, I did not notice a difference between a salon job or a home job if the dye was a single color. Home dye jobs are easy enough if you carefully read the directions and don't forget a step, but if you want highlights or a bleach job, I recommend going to a salon. What is the difference between dying your hair at a beauty salon or dying your hair yourself at home?
The difference between dying your hair yourself at home and going to a GOOD salon (NOT Fantastic Sam's or any place in a mall) is the way your hair will look. If you want the color to look nice, especially if you want hilights or lowlights or any sort of color combination, you MUST go to a professional. It is WORTH the extra money to have a hair color specialist examine your hair and prescribe the best color combination for your hair texture and they can also help you choose a flattering shade for your skin coloring. Do NOT put color on your own hair, I promise you, it will look like crap 80% of the time.

What are some good beauty/hair styling schools I can attend?

Well I'm into trying to cut and design funky styles and learn how to do awsome jobs with makeup. Lately its been so hard for me to even get my hair to look like a jrock style but my hair is originally to short and layery but I thought of getting extensions

Is the school or class expensive? What are some good beauty/hair styling schools I can attend?
The school, You should really go in and take a tour and ask questions. ALL schools are different with different instructors, who teach differently. So, Go in and have a tour. Ask questions.

and Yeah, school is REALLY expensive, like the average cost is 10k-13k. Sometimes more. But just to say, All those 'Funky' designs and whatnot comes after you graduate. They don't teach you those. So it's up to you and your imagination, AFTER you graduate.

I am doind a diploma in hair and beauty and i need to do an assignment but i need help.?

I am onto part 2 of health and safety. I have a question thet says Why is it important to have the following: good personal presentation, good hygiene, good behavior? Does anybody have the answers? Please help, best answer wins 10 points.I am doind a diploma in hair and beauty and i need to do an assignment but i need help.?
You need good presentation, meaning you need to be smartly dressed-clean and well pressed uniform, clean smart hairstyle, well put on make up.

Good hygiene- shower before going to a salon, making sure you use deodorant and make sure breath does not smell.

Good behaviour- be polite, do not gossip.

All these things are important when you are working on clients.

If you do not follow these rules your clients will move to another salon!

High standards of care are very important

Is it hard to learn to cut hair in beauty school?

I really want to attend beauty school, but I'm afraid when it comes to cutting hair, especially if it's thick and/or curly, that I'll fail miserably. Is it hard to learn to cut hair in beauty school?
not really you start out on mannequins so if you jack that up it's no big deal. your first haircut will not look pretty no ones ever does. don't worry it is actually very easy and when you are in beauty school you can't worry about messing up someones hair even when you are working on clients they know they are going to a school to get their hair cut plus if you feel really uncomfortable just ask a teacher to stand next to you and help you. that's what you are there for. also what they taught me in school that i think is the best advice i've gotten and it really does work. with this industry 80% of customers will come back to you if you have a great personality even if their hair didn't turn out that great. as long as you make them belive they look fab and make them feel like a queen. and most people will come back to you just cause you have a great personality. of course if you totally jack up their hair that's not the case but still this just is basically being a friend doing another friends hair.Is it hard to learn to cut hair in beauty school?
    Let me tell you my first day in beauty school the teacher gave us our doll heads scissors and everything we would need for the rest of the year.....Then she said the magic words....Everyone hold the hair at a 0 elevation'.....0 elevation??? what the %!#^%26amp;*# is this??? MATH? MATH? I hate MATH! I looked at her and she looked at me and I said I am sorry I didn't know this was going to be MATH ....I am going home! She said 'Oh no you aren't, now you get back there and I will show you how to do this';

Thank God she did this has been my life for many years.....You are not even allowed to cut human hair till the teachers think you are ready....believe me you will learn almost everything you need to know by the time you graduate. One thing they did not teach us was how to use a clippers.....You could go to a barber shop and speak to the barber and ask him / her to show you how to use one......later as you feel you kinda know what you are doing....I wish you good luck and happiness!
Don't worry! Even fourth year hairdressers stuff up. Just keep going at it and you'll be fine. Make sure you get your self a good pair of scissors though! Otherwise it will make cutting harder. Also if its curly hair..its not as easy to ntoice if the haircut is bad!
well to start with your teacher will be beside you until u know what your doing.. when i went we had manikins (spelled wrong im sure) we did work on them alot with cuts and perms..but when you are doing hands on the teacher helps and walks u through it donr be affraid its not bad at all..
No actually! It's all about angles, baby!

Have you thought about Rogaine? It has a real medicine approved by the FDA to grow hair and thicken hair, you just don't think about it because it is marketed for balding men. But I think Rogaine would work for real and the other products are just cheap shampoos that will dry out your hair and break it off.
Keeping your hair healthy is key to enhancing its beauty and feel. No matter what hair color, length, or type, your hair will always look better when it鈥檚 well taken care of. The Most Important Things to Know About Healthy Hair Diet

The beauty of hair is a direct manifestation of internal health. How and what we eat determines our hair. It鈥檚 essential to get proper nutrients directly from the foods that we eat. Healthy hair diet is very important. Eating a healthy, balanced diet is necessary for the health and beauty of your hair! Great nutrition is the most effective way of getting awesome hair...

Paying attention to nutrition will help to beat bad hair days.

Having healthy hair requires well-balanced diets that incorporate proteins and vitamins B, C, E, A and K.

Hair instantly responds to the addition of protein rich foods such as meats, eggs, cheese, seeds and nuts.

    Protein

Protein is the building block of hair. Hair is 88 percent protein. Protein will give the shaft of your hair more strength, and will reduce the probability of damage.

    Vitamin B

The B vitamins are necessary for healthy hair. Lack of B vitamins can lead to oily hair conditions.

Sources: green vegetables, beans, sunflower seeds, nuts and peas.

    Vitamin C

It strengthens the immune system, and assists in metabolizing B vitamins and amino acids into the body. Lack of vitamin C can cause dry hair.

Sources: oranges, lemons, limes, melons, berries, red peppers, kale, cauliflower, tomatoes and cucumbers.

    Vitamin A

Vitamin A is important for the health of your scalp. A lack of it can lead to dry hair.

Sources: carrots, sweet potatos, squash, broccoli, cantaloupe or apricot.

    Vitamin E

Vitamin E provides lots of benefits for growing vibrant hair.

Sources: avocado, rice bran, nuts, dark green vegetables, legume and whole grains.

    Vitamin K

Vitamin K helps to maintain healthy hair

Sources: seafood, dairy food, fig, brewer yeast, asparagus, broccoli, lettuce, cabbage, dark green leafy vegetables, egg yolk, oatmeal, rye, soybean, liver, wheat and yogurt.

    Iron

Healthy hair needs iron in the body. Iron is needed to help carry oxygen to the hair. Without enough iron, hair gets starved for oxygen.

Sources: eggs, fish, liver, oysters, meat, poultry, whole grains, green leafy vegetables and blackstrap molasses.

    Magnesium

Magnesium deficiencies lead to hair problems.

Sources: meat, fish, fruit, nuts, brewer鈥檚 yeast, whole grains and green-leafy vegetables.

    Copper

Copper is needed for hair structure and is involved in the pigmentation of hair.

Sources: milk, bread and green vegetables.

    Zinc

A lack of zinc can lead to hair loss. Zinc is necessary for building hair protein.

Sources: oysters, peas, pulses, haricot beans, butter and kidney.

    Water

Water is important for hair. Water makes up one-fourth of the weight of a strand of hair. Moisture makes the hair supple and helps keep your hair silky and shiny. Eight to ten glasses of water a day are absolutely necessary to nourish healthy hair.

    Essential Fats (EFAs)

Healthy hair also needs two essential fatty acids, omega-3 and omega-6, that are not produced naturally by the human body.

Omega-3 fats sources: flax oil, algae, cold-water fish, dark-green vegetables, hemp oil and pumpkin seed oil

Omega-6 fats sources: borage, evening primrose oil, safflower oil, sunflower seeds, hemp seeds, corn and pumpkin seeds.

Cold-pressed vegetable oils are also essential to a hair healthy diet. Lack of these oils causes dull, lifeless hair along with parched, rough skin.

well i've been useing panten pro v shampoo and condtioner
Matrix Brand Revitalizer and shampoo, you can get it at most salons
You will not get ';pantene ad'; hair without styling and the correct products. Start by using a repairing and moisturising range of products, try ';absolut repair'; range by L'oreal Professional (only available in salons ) that will help re-hydrate and repair your hair, and regular trims, every 6 weeks will definitely get you on the road to long sleek shinny hair, to get the straight look, you will need a blow-dryer and straightening irons. Good Luck...
I have long hair to my waist. Make sure you get it trimmed every 6 to 8 weeks. Just a trim. Also try using KMS, Jocobi (I believe is the name) or even Bio Silk products. If you cut your hair every 6 to 8 weeks you are keeping up your hair and avoiding those pesky split ends. If you use heat on your hair for styling use a leave in conditioner. This will protect hair. Also, you shouldn't wash your hair everyday because you wash out your natural oils in your hair that help keep your hair healthy. Yes do brush 100 xs a day. Start from the scalp and go down. Part you hair when doing this. This will bring those oils to the tips to protect them. Hope this helps

u shud put Henna on ur hair...it will do magic for ur hair

first get a good trim .......well any conditioners will be good but u can use the one meant 4r dry %26amp; damaged hair(garnier has one)...%26amp; regarding shampoos use a mild one .........u should also oil ur hair regularly
I've had long hair and short hair...and many compliments throughout my life on my hair. The best thing you can do for your hair is brush it. Use a natural bristle brush and brush it (best with your head upside down) for at least 10 minutes every day. Hair must be dry when you brush. This stimulation is good for the blood and the scalp and will do more to make your hair shine and grow and be healthy than almost anything else you can apply to it. I know it works.....try it!
Personally I love rusk sensories. I would use their shampoo and conditioner as well as a twice weekly deep conditioner.

How much money does a person make on average in the hair and beauty industry?

depends on your clientelle -- I would say the $30,000 is a good starting point (once you have been working in a salon for about 3 years) then the more people want to come to you -- the more you make.

    Also depends on location

I have a 13 Month old daughter how should I do her hair for Beauty Pagents?

She has alot of hair but it is very thin it doesn't even hold a hair ban in it.I have a 13 Month old daughter how should I do her hair for Beauty Pagents?
curl it if u canI have a 13 Month old daughter how should I do her hair for Beauty Pagents?
Thats a little young for a beauty pageant, imo, however if you choose to do this (as only a hobby and not a lifestyle) then, to each her own..

Be sure to keep it simple. maybe a few ringlets here and there. use rollers, not curling irons.

    no makeup.

    goodluck !
I agree with the first girl. Why would you do that to your little girl. As they get older it puts so much pressure on them. Wouldn't you want her to be focusing on school when she's older. She just 1.
she seems a little young but.................2 curled pigtails.........one at each side of her head...
It's seriously sending the wrong message to your daughter. How is she gonna have fun at this ';beauty pagent'; being paraded around, pushed h ere and there, poked at scolded for not sitting still and other unrelenting torture just so a bunch of adults can judge who is prettiest? Who gets the prize here anyway?! Let her be a baby. She is beautiful just the way she is. If it's a trophy you want , maybe you should be in a pagent.
a one year old in beauty pagent? i'm disgusted.
Put her hair up in a ponytail ontop of her head

What annual class do I have to attend to receive the Hair and Beauty License?

I want to obtain a hair and beauty license to receive benefits and discounts. I am aware that there is an annual class of some sort that is required (with an annual fee as well) but have no idea what or where it is.What annual class do I have to attend to receive the Hair and Beauty License?
If you live in the US you have to attend Cosmetology School which varies by state of 1200 - 2000 hours @ 35 hours per week full time and will cost $8,000 - $15,000 to attend. You then must take a State written %26amp; practical test $150 %26amp; up. Then you pay an biannual license fee. Did you think that all there is is a class %26amp; you can be licensed? Cosmetologists go through rigorous training they are not just someone who couldn't do anything else so they chose to do hair. There are very talented people out there some making 6 figures (more than you think) and it is quite disrespectful that someone would think they could obtain a license so easy.

Edit: The way you asked the question is not what you now are saying. Actual professional distributors will not sell to you. If you have a family member that is licensed they can get you what you want. I believe you can get a preferred customer card from Sally's which will give you the price in the upper right hand corner.
