Is it prohibited from a dog being in a beauty shop/hair salon?

I am told that a beauty shop can be fined if a dog is brought into the establishment while I am having my hair done?Is it prohibited from a dog being in a beauty shop/hair salon?
If it is a private establishment and you personally know the owner, that owner might allow you to bring your dog. If it is a working dog (not just seeing eye), then it IS allowed. But a public establishment could be sued by anyone who does not want to have a dog in there for reasons such as allergies, dislike, or pure fear of dogs. Even if they weren't sued, they could lose a lot of regular customers. Definitely leave your dog at home, or where you can see it in the car with the windows cracked on COOL days (If you are not going to take hours, that is).Is it prohibited from a dog being in a beauty shop/hair salon?
I saw an episode of ';Breed All About It'; on Animal planet. There was a guy with bull terriers (target dogs) and he had them in his hair salon in either NY or LA. I don't think it's a health code violation, as there is normally no food or drink in a hair salon, but the owners of a business are allowed to do pretty much whatever they want regarding any dogs that aren't service dogs. The owners pay the lease, and usually have agreements with the landlords regarding things like that.

However, if it's some random dog that's not serving a disabled person being brought into a place of business unannounced, that person can be sued as long as there's a posted ';no pets'; policy on the door of the business.
Yes it is not allowed.
Most local health code laws ONLY apply to establishments that sell or serve food. Any business owner may refuse to admits pets - that is their own decision. However, NO ONE in the U.S. can refuse admittance to any handicapped person with a ';Service Animal'; - which can include assistance dogs, monkeys trained to help paraplegics and even a pony that was trained as a guide for the blind.
That probably depends on where you live. If it is a service dog then you should be allowed to bring it in. If is is not then some city, county, or state laws may prohibit it. Also may be a matter of the business' insurance liability coverage. Not to mention the business itself may have a no pets policy. Considering how many people are allergic (unless this is a service dog), I feel it is rude and inconsiderate of people to bring their pets inside public places. No I am not allergic myself. I just think it is not appropriate.
Yes.Unless it is a seeing eye dog.Why...one it is a health hazard, people with sevre allegies can be harmed, and it is just plain rude to assume people want dog hair all over them.Leave the dog home
here in Australia it is prohibited unless see and eye dogs

but when I was in Paris and Italy

I saw people with dogs on leads so I guess

it's what country you are from

but most countries it is against health laws to have a dog in a shop
